Soul of a Leader

Aug 16, 2020

Dr. Valerie Parker has a direct leadership style that often seems that she is not authentic but she is evolving so, therefore, her leadership is authentic and journeying together. She doesn't often sugar coat things but it's important to touch the harder things in life. Servant-centered leadership is another focal point in her leadership style. Failure is not the end but it's the time to reflect and learn. Grace in the space is a must to reflect upon what they think was a failure. Being authentic is important to being a leader. You must know what you want to do to be good at the role. As a leader, you should know how to nurture individuals and get them to do self-reflections. It's a skill set to reflect and sit in discomfort, to listen in a space of silence, in order to understand your learning moment.
